COVID-19 Safety Measures

The safety of our customers, drivers and our wider community is paramount to us. 

 

We continue to closely monitor and act upon the advice of Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria (CPVV), Dept of Health & Human Services, WHO guidelines and State and Federal Government directives.

 

To support the safety and wellbeing of our customers and drivers, and to help minimise the risks associated with COVID-19, we have put in place extra measures in addition to these guidelines. 

 

Our vehicles are cleaned throughly after each shift, driver change or transit longer than 30 mins.  Additional disinfectant and sanitisation procedures are in place, including cleaning and sanitising of common touch surfaces after each transit as well as social distancing measures. 

 

Our drivers have also undergone training in COVID19 Hygiene awareness, including cleaning and sanitisation procedures. 

 

Additional measures include:

 

Vehicles

  • Disinfected and sanitised at the end of each shift, driver change or after a longer transit (ie more than half an hour)
    Common touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitised after each transit:

    • (including, but not limited to, door handles, seat belts, seat belt clasps, boot and card payment machines)

  • COVID-19 Vehicle Hygiene Checklist 

  • Single use alcohol based wipes, hand sanitisers and tissues available onboard

  • Maximum customer numbers apply, (3 customers (sedan) or 5 customers (SUV/4WD) from the same pick up address/household

  • Where possible (and practical) windows to be down

  • Ventilation set to external airflow

  • Customers to travel in the back seat (we really are sad about this one)

 

Drivers 

  • Mandatory COVID19 Hygiene Awareness Training including cleaning and sanitising vehicles

  • Increased hand hygiene practices for drivers, particularly with cash handling

  • Close monitoring of driver's health including regular temp checks

  • Drivers to wear gloves and wipe down luggage handles if assisting with luggage

  • Any drivers exhibiting cold or flu like symptoms are not permitted to drive

When travelling with us, support our efforts by:

  • Practicing good hand hygiene (please use hand sanitisers onboard)

  • Downloading the COVIDSafe App to assist with contact tracing

  • Cover your cough and sneeze with tissues and properly dispose of them afterwards (take them with you!)

  • Loading and unloading own baggage and equipment where possible 

  • Use “Tap & Go” card payment or pre pay via credit card

  • Adhere to customer number restrictions for vehicles

  • Requesting facemasks if required or when social distancing not possible

  • Travel in the back seats (where possible)☹

  • Not travelling with us if you are unwell and are exhibiting cold or flu like symptoms

  • Being patient with us as we adjust to our 'new' normal. It has been a very tough year.

 

These safety measures may at times, impact on vehicle availability.  In these instances your understanding and patience is appreciated.
